From Past to Present Selina Fish!

Selina has the first fish farm in the Lycia region, located at the foot of the Taurus Mountains. The area is untouched by industrialization and is a meeting point of nature and natural production. The farm is located in the most popular location in the region, in the heart of nature, at the very beginning of the water source, with productivity and clarity, which allows for the highest quality trout breeding.

Selina's unique experience, which dates back to 1974 with its current partnership structure, has positioned it as the region's leading player in modern trout production. In 1997, the second farm was established, and both farms continue to exist and produce to this day. In 2011, our fish processing facility was established with a mission to process trout that has been grown in the water source that trickles down from the peaks of the Taurus Mountains, using traditional and natural methods.

The 90,000-year-old smoking method, the world's oldest cooking and preservation technique, is performed entirely naturally in traditional ovens. The aroma that arises from the smoking method varies depending on the type of wood used. One of Selina's biggest secrets is having a unique aroma with its own signature.

In 2015, the change of generation and new partnership structure gave birth to the Selina brand. Our brand, which we associate with nature, meets consumers in Turkey, America, Germany, Poland, and many other European countries, with a sustainable production perspective.

From Past to Present Selina Fish!

"After living in Germany for decades, we returned to Turkey 20 years ago. With our return, we began to dream of building a trout farm in the southwest of Turkey, at the foot of the Taurus Mountains (Lykia region). The fresh water that comes from the summit of the Taurus Mountains allows us to cultivate the best trout of unique quality.

In the midst of a natural and unspoiled landscape, away from any industry, we harvested our first trout in 1997, just 30 km away from Fethiye. Shortly after, we successfully harvested our first American trout. With a large investment, the trout farm continues to evolve and is now known as a modern trout production area in Turkey. Our trout farm currently has a capacity to harvest 800 tons of rainbow trout per year.

We are proud to have customers not only in Turkey but also in Europe (Germany and Poland) and America. We love nature. Seeing how vibrant, colorful, and impressive nature can be is a passion for us. At the same time, we know that nature can also be vulnerable. As a result, we are settling with a high premium to preserve an unspoiled environment.

Smoked Fish

"Since 2011, we have been producing the best smoked trout using the traditional German smoking method. We have built an efficient processing facility using a traditional oven, where our trout are slowly and gently smoked using various types of wood and traditional recipes.
Today, we sell these smoked trout to numerous customers in Germany. Our exceptional products can be found in some of Germany's best delicatessens. Continuously improving environmentally sustainable trout harvesting includes a diversity of innovative fish flavors such as caviar production, boneless trout, and large rainbow trout.

Selina Joint Stock Company

In December 2015, we transitioned from a limited company to a joint-stock company. Founder Halil Sahingoz is proud of the company's development. Shareholders include the founder's daughter Seyran Jakoby and son-in-law Alexander Jakoby.

We, as shareholders and managers, are proud to have our friend Mete Karakaya with us. In the future, we hope to see Selina, who was born in 1997 and gave her name to our company, among us, and her siblings will be the 3rd generation to continue the family tradition. We love nature, our family, and our friends. These are the most important things, and we will always strive for excellence.
